Please peruse note pages alongwith agenda note sent by Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Sangrur for the details of the case.
From the agenda note and note file of the industry, it has been observed that the Board has not monitored the ETP installed by the industry since the grant of previous consent and the industry is not maintaining the record w.r.t. operation of its ETP i.e. Chemical used in the ETP, quantity of trade effluent treated in the ETP, power consumption etc. Further, during air emission sampling of the industry on 15.12.2017 by the Board, the effluent sample of the ETP was not collected, whereas, the industry has got analyzed its trade effluent sample from the Private Lab on 01.11.2017. It is not clear whether the industry has provided thermex boiler of capacity 6 TPH or 8 TPH as in column D (i) of the agenda note, the capacity has been mentioned as 6 TPH, whereas, as verified during visit on 27.7.2018, the same has been mentioned as 8 TPH.
Keeping in view of the above observations, it is proposed that;
Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Sangrur may be asked to comment in detail on the above, immediately alongwith copy of the record maintained by the industry regarding operation of the ETP and APCD, so as to take further necessary action in the matter, please.
