The reply of the clarification raised by Zonal Office-II, Patiala is as under:-
1) Further it is submitted that the stack emission samples of its boiler was collected on 15/12/2017 by Er. Garima Garg, AEE alongwith Scientific Staff from Head Office and thereafter, Er. Garima Garg, AEE has been transferred from the said area. However, the matter was inquired from Er. Garima Garg, AEE regarding reasons for not collecting the samples of the treated trade effluents on dated 15/12/2017. She informed that there was no flow at the outlet of the ETP, due to which, the samples of the treated trade effluent can not be collected. However, the industry sample got its trade effluent samples analyzed from Board's approved lab on 03/04/2017.
2) The industry was found not maintaining the record with regard to the operation of ETP. In this regard, during visit, the representative of the industry informed that they are not using any chemical in the ETP and they are using siera to develop bacteria at regular intervals. However, the industry was advised to maintain the proper record of trade effluent treated in the ETP, power consumption etc. all the times and shall submit the same to the Board on regular basis.
3) The industry has provided thermax boiler of capacity 6.0 TPH. However, in the recommendation, the capacity of the boiler has been mentioned as 8.0 TPH, inadvertently.
Keeping in view above mentioned facts, it is, therefore, recommended that renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30/06/2023 for the production of Rice bran oil @ 32 TPD & Deoiled rice bran cake @ 213 TPD by using Rice bran @ 250 TPD & Hexane @ 600 ltr/day as raw material subjected to certain suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board and following additional conditions as mentioned in above note. |
