It is submitted that the project is marriage palace and was earlier granted 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/Rupnagar/2017/5952329 dated 23.08.2017 with validity upto 30.09.2018.
Now, the project proponent has applied for renewal of 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the project proponent has already deposited consents fee of Rs. The marriage palace has deposited 'consent to operate' fee of Rs. 35000/- dated 16/08/2018, which is adequate upto 30.09.2021.
Accordingly, the site of marriage palace was visited by the undersigned on 24.08.2018. During the visit, it was observed as under:
1. The project is a marriage palace and was not in operation due to off season.
2. The project proponent has constructed 01 no. shed for marriage function of size 80'x140'x20'.
3. The project proponent has installed 02 no. septic tanks. Out of which, one septic tank is attached for urinal/ washroom area and other for kitchen area. The industry has installed oil and grease tank with the septic tank in kitchen area.
4. The project proponent has planted green belt along the boundary and also planted eucalyptus tree in an area of approximate 1 kanal, which is adequate for disposal of effluent.
5. The project proponent has installed 02 no. DG set sets capacities 125 KVA, 62.5 KVA, which is equipped with canopies and stacks of adequate heights.
6. The waste meal is being lifted by piggery. However, the industry has put a dig for the compositing of waste vegetables/ plantation leaf.
7. The industry has installed water meter on the submersible pump and the reading was noted as 1169 Kl and record of the consumption of water is maintained (Copy enclosed).
The industry is complying with the all the consent conditions granted to it under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
In view of the above, it is recommended that 'consent to operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed upto 30.09.2021 with usual condition.
