The industry has applied for fresh Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The site of the industry was visited by officer of this office on 30.08.2018 and the following observations were made:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit, and engaged in the electroplating of cycle parts.
2. The industry has provided water meter and reading during visit was 10.23 KL.
3. The industry is maintaining records of water consumption and trade effluent generation.
4. As per record it has consumed around 10230 ltrs of fresh water and has lifted 7000 ltrs of trade effluent to CETP. During visit around 3000 ltrs. of trade effluent was lying in the underground tank.
5. The industry has provided underground tank of size 6'x6'x3' i.e. approx. 3000 ltrs.
6. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Tech Pvt. Ltd. (CETP) for lifting of its trade effluent @ 6000 ltr/month & domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD is being discharged into sewer.
7. The industry has no furnace/bhathi or any other source of air pollution.
8. The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent authority.
9. The industry falls in Focal Point, Ludhiana as per PSIEC, Allotment letter submitted by the industry.
10. As per the central sales Tax (registration & Turnover) certificate of registration the date of start of operation of industry is 2012.
11. The competency to grant the consents lies with Sr. Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Ludhaina.
In view of the above it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please
