It is intimated that earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. R16LDH2CTOW3974417 dated 11.5.2016 valid upto 30.6.2018 and No. R16LDH2CTOA3974412 dated 11.5.2016 valid upto 30.6.2018.
Now, the industry applied for renewal of consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents through online. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.6.2025.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 23.8.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of plastic toys and heat treatment of auto parts on labour job basis.
3. The industry has installed 2 injection moulding machines for manufacturing of toys using recycled plastic granules.
4. The industry has provided 3 heat treatment furnaces using electricity and 2 out of these are used for annealing and one is used for oil quenching.
5. There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. Cooling water is re-circulated.
6. The industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions please.
