It is intimated that the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2018/7378361 dated 30.4.2018 valid upto 31.8.2018. The electric connection of the industry was also restored upto 30.8.2018.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 alongwith documents through OCMMS. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.8.2023.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 23.8.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has provided one pickling tank (1000 ltr), one wash tank (about 400 ltr) and lime tank for treatment of wire rod.
3. The industry has provided power press, one zindi, one Straightening machine and one grinder and one leader machine.
4. The industry has agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Unit-II, Kohara, Ludhiana @ 1800 Ltr/M for lifting its spent acid generating from acid pickling section.
5. The industry has provided water meter and its reading was 9.0 KL during the visit.
6. The industry has provided 2 tanks of capacity 500 ltr each. During visit about 750 ltr was stored in storage tanks and about 500 ltr were is stored in main tank.
7. The record is maintained since 5.4.2018 only and reading was 1.1 KL.
8. Effluent lifted since 1.4.2018 = 1200 ltr and since 1.1.2018=10200 ltr.
9. Earlier the industry was visited by JEE of this office on 18.5.2018 and 3.7.2018 and was found complying.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that:-
1. Consent under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.6.2023 with suitable conditions.
