It is intimated that the above industry is a marriage palace established and commissioned without obtaining NOC/Consents of the Board. Now the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for operation of Marriage Palace. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued.
The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 30/08/2018 and observed as under:-
1. The industry is a marriage palace and during the visit no function was observed.
2. The marriage palace has provided septic tank for the treatment of effluent and same is further used for plantation/gardening.
3. The marriage palace has installed 2 no. D.G. set provided with canopies.
The industry has submitted a Change of Land Use issued by the Department of Town and Country Planning, Punjab vide memo no. 1108 dated 26/03/2018 (Copy Enclosed). (Aagnda Note is also attached herewith).
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be grated upto 30/09/2023 in the light of latest policy of the Board circulated vide Head Office letter no. 19650-19761 dated 30/04/2013 with the special condition that the Marriage palace will install the STP as and when the PPCB finalizes the treatment technology for the waste water of the Marriage Palaces.
