the industry is a small scale orange category service station. The registration detail were checked and found correct. The documents uploaded by the industry were verified and found correct. Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide No. O14JALCTOW709748 dated 18-02-2014 valid up to 30-06-2018 and Vide No. O14JALCTOA711253 dated 18-02-2014 valid up to 30-06-2018 respectively. However, consent to operate granted to the service station was revoked vide ZO letter no. 2915 dated 15.05.2018 for reasons mention therein Now the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 90,000/- vides R.N. 54/4871 dated 03.08.2018 & Rs. 18,000/- vides R.N. 78/4871 dated 07.08.2018 under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 Rs. 90,000/- vides R.N. 55/4871 dated 03.08.2018 & Rs. 18,000/- vides R.N. 79/4871 dated 07.08.2018 under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 amended in 1987 which is adequate upto 30-06-2018 & Rs. 1500/- vides R.N. 77/4871 dated 07.08.2018 as NOC fee which is adequate upto 30.06.2023 (including the fee charge for revocation under Water Act, 1974). As per the detail submitted by the industry, the addition made in plant and machinery is due to incorporation of non-polluting machinery and due to installation of canopy over D.G set The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 30.07.2018 and it was observed that the industry was in operation. The industry has installed ETP and the same was in operation. The trade effluent samples were collected by the officer of the Board during visit and the analysis report reveals that various parameters are within the prescribed limits ( pH= 7.3, TSS= 12, TDS= 660, COD= 68, BOD=18 and O&G BDL). The treated trade effluent is being partially discharged onto land for plantation and rest of the effluent is being reused in the washing process. Domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. The industry has installed one no. D.G. set of capacity 62.5 KVA with canopy .The industry has now installed paint booth with Exhaust with filter for downward compressed air as APCD. The service station has submitted Bank Guarantee of Rs. 25,000/- B.G no. 6502lFlBG180001 dated 22.05.2018 valid upto 21.05.2019 as an assurance to comply with the norms prescribed by the Board as well as to comply with the provisions of Hazardous Waste Rules. The industry has permanently closed its soakge pit which was previously present as per file record for disposal of untreated trade and domestic effluent. The industry has submitted compliance report of the consent conditions under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 amended in1987 already granted to the industry. Keeping in view of above, if approved Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30-09-2022 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. |
