• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit and was engaged in the process of casting of pipe fitting at site.
• The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which are valid upto 30.06.2018.
• Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
• As per application submitted by the industry, the unit was engaged in manufacturing of Pipe fitting.
• The industry has installed 1 no. induction furnace with bag filter house as APCD, 1 no. shot blasting machines with bag filter house as APCD, 2 no annealing furnace with adequate stack and 1 no galvanizing furnace with adequate stack height.
• The industry has uploaded the air emission analysis report of APCD attached with induction furnace issued by M/s SIMA lab New Delhi as the air emission sample collected by lab on 14.08.2018 and as per analysis report, the concentration of SPM is found 105 mg/Nm3 which is found within permissible limits of the Board.
• As per application form of the industry, there is no source of trade effluent generation only generation of domestic effluent and mode of disposal of domestic effluent has mentioned into sewer.
• As per office order issued by the Board vide Head Office letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016, all the orange and green categories units shall be processed on the basis of document submitted by the industry without site verification within 7 days .
Keeping In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions please
