It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. O14LDH2CTOW1377678 dated 15.07.2014 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. O14LDH2CTOA1377512 dated 15.07.2014, upto 30.09.2018 for production of U Bolts & Spring Pins @ 400 Kgs/day by using MS Steels @ 400 Kgs/day as raw material.
Now, industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 05.09.2018 and observed that:-
1. The industry was not in operation due to power failure.
2. The industry has provided one electrical induction heater for heating.
3. The industry has installed 02 power presses to manufacture U-bolts.
4. The industry has installed adda's threading machines.
5. The domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
6. The site of the industry falls in Industrial Area-C as per khasra no’s mentioned in gazette notification.
7. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2023 with suitable conditions.
