It is intimated that the subject cited industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for Storage of Vegetables & Fruits @ 70,000 bags (50 Kg each) under orange category, which were valid upto 30/09/2018.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for operating the Cold Store for storage of Vegetables & Fruits under Green Category as per new policy of the Board. The industry has deposited Rs. 53,000/- each vide Cheque No. 154573 & 154574 dated 05/09/2018 as consent fee under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to make the fee adequate upto 30/09/2028 against the fixed assets of the industry below 2 Crores as per C.A. Certificate submitted.
The industry has already submitted building plan prepared by competent person approved under Punjab Factories Act, 1948. The industry has also submitted reported of Patwari issued from Tehsildaar, Khadoor Sahib, Tarn Taran and as per report, the site of the industry falls away more than 100 meters from the Lal Lakir of the Village, Khwaspur. As per report issued by DTP, Amritsar vide letter no. 3958 dated 30/11/2009, the site of the industry falls under local planning area of Goindwal Sahib of which the Master Plan is under preparation and therefore no comments can be made on the land use of the industry. However, the industry has required to obtain CLU.
The industry is complying with conditions of consent granted earlier.
The Board has issued order vide no. CEE(HQ) F.No. 957/2016/59 dated 2/2/2016 regarding to grant of auto renewal consent to establish/consent to operate to the Orange & Green category industries.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for storage of Vegetables & Fruits @ 260 nos. bags per day for a period upto 31/12/2027 subject to the suitable conditions along with special condition that the industry shall obtain CLU from DTP, Amritsar as mentioned in their office letter, if required.
