It is submitted that the air emission samples of the industry were collected on 30.06.2018 and got analyzed by Board’s approved lab for all the parameters including SO2 for using pet coke as fuel, which are within the permissible limits of the Board, but inadvertently the remaining parameters were not mentioned in the agenda note. The copy of the analysis report dated 02.07.2018 is enclosed herewith for kind reference.
The industry is reusing the effluent generated from the process and only purge water is discharged onto land for plantation after ETP, which is less in quantity. Further, as detailed in the note of dated 17.08.2018 by AEE of this office, the industry is complying with the code of practice prescribed for using pet coke as fuel.
In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for six months with suitable conditions with special condition that the industry shall got its effluent & air emission samples analyzed from Board’s within 1 month.
