It is intimated that the industry is small scale orange category forging unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R16LDH2CTOW3503262 dated 08.01.2016 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R16LDH2CTOA3503357 dated 08.01.2016 which is valid upto 30.06.2018 for production of auto parts & dyes @ 02 TPD.
The industry has applied renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS with requisite documents.
Now, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 15.09.2018 and it was observed that: -
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in the process of forging.
2. The industry has installed 02 oil fired furnace attached with hammer with adequate stack height.
3. The industry has installed one induction heater attached with hammer.
4. The industry has installed one shot blasting machine with inbuilt bag house as APCD with adequate stack height.
5. There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
6. The industry has not any DG set in its premises.
7. The industry has already submitted the approved building plan from the approved person of Director of Factories, Punjab.
8. The industry is complying with the conditions of consent earlier granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2022 with usual conditions.
