Proceeding of the personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer on 12/9/2018 at Jalandhar for violations of the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981.
The representative of the industry during the hearing submitted that the air emission sample was already collected by Regional office and results are within the limit. The consent case has been applied in Regional office and same was pending in OCMMS.
During hearing the officer of the Board and representative of the industry, the Senior Environmental Engineer decided that:-
1) The Regional office to explain why collect emission sample of the industry without permission of the higher authority as the action has already been pending of previous sample dated 23/5/2017, whose parameters are beyond the prescribed limit of the Board.
2) The consent case of the industry may be decided on merit.
