Sir, the industry was given personal hearing before the SEE, ZO-1, Ludhiana on 20.07.2018 and it was decided that the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office verify the submissions given by the industry and submit report immediately.
In compliance of the above, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 08.09.2018 and it was observed that the industry has now made enhanced agreement with CETP operator @ 5000 Ltr./Month. The industry has removed its bye pass arrangements and un-metered tap . The reading of the water meter and the process area was noted to be 36.56 KL and the industry has maintained record regarding lifting and consumption of trade effluent. Therefore, the industry is now complying with the decision of the hearing given to it.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions and special condition that the Regional Office shall carryout water auditing of the industry and submit report within one month. |
