It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit and engaged in the manufacturing of auto parts. The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for manufacturing of motorcycle auto parts @ 15,000 Numbers/day. The industry is running in the premises of M/s Campbell International, Industrial Area-C, Near Sua Road, Ludhiana. The industry has submitted rent deed with M/s Campbell International which is valid upto 20.09.2022.
It is intimated that the site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 21.09.2018 and it was observed that: -
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the manufacturing of auto parts.
2. The industry has installed one automatic power coating line which is provided with inbuilt multi-cyclone as APCD.
3. The industry has installed one phosphating plant which is not in operation and has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process area and reading noted to be 0.12 KL.
4. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana @ 30,000 Ltr./Month for its generation of trade effluent from process.
5. The industry has provided storage tanks of capacity 18,000 Ltr. for storage of its phosphating effluent.
6. The industry has maintained the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana.
7. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
8. The industry has installed one DG of capacity 300 KVA which is provided with canopy.
9. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-2021).
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for 30.06.2022 with usual conditions.
