It is submitted that Zonal office has raised clarification regarding the suitability of the site in regard to the policy of Govt. of Punjab dt. 11.08.2017, however, after this policy the Board has issued an office order that marriage palace lying outside the MC limit need to obtain classification / CLU for its suitability of site. The palace has obtained CLU for 3.60 acer vide STP, Patiala memo no. 977 dt. 31.03.2014, hence, site is suitable for the establishment of marriage palace. However, The palace has not provided oil & grease traps with the kitchen section. However, provision was made to discharge this effluent onto land for plantation. A septic tank for the treatment of domestic effluent with the toilet section has been provided, however, sokage pit has not been removed. The palace has failed to submit agreement with Municipal Council for the lifting of Municipal Solid waste to be generated from the functions. The reply of the SCN notice attached by the palace is not opening . From the above, it is clear that the palace has been violating the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. Therefore, it is recommended that applications for obtaining consents to operate of the Board may be refused. |
