It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. O16LDH2CTOW3562361 dated 07.04.2016 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. O16LDH2CTOA3562328 dated 07.04.2016, upto 30.06.2018 for running of home for senior citizen @ 50 Numbers/Day.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS alongwith requisite documents.
The site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 26.09.2018 and it was observed as under :-
1. The old age home is developed in area of 14 acres approximate.
2. The capacity of old age home has about 150 rooms and maximum capacity of 320 persons.
3. The project proponent has provided STP for the treatment of its domestic effluent and same was in operation during the visit.
4. The project proponent has submitted sample analysis report from Board’s approved Lab on 29.08.2018 and as per analysis report the various parameters are within the prescribed limits of the Board.
5. The project proponent has provided 02 DG sets of capacities one of 400 KVA & one of 125 KVA which are equipped with canopy.
6. The project proponent has provided one diesel fired boiler of capacity 0.3 TPH for providing steam to the cooking section and laundry section. In the kitchen steam & LPG gas is being used as fuel.
7. The project proponent has provided plantation/irrigation area in about 04 acres.
8. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted up to 30.09.2020 with usual conditions.
