It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R16LDH2CTOW3467429 dated 11.04.2016 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R16LDH2CTOA3467423 dated 10.02.2016, upto 30.06.2018 for production of B.B. Axle @ 51538 Number/Year, B.B. Cup @ 87439 Number/Year, B.B. Ring @ 47300 Numbers/Year, Agriculture equipments @ 1530 Number/Year.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has added CNC and HMC machines for machining of auto parts @ 2,00,000 Numbers/Year and has submitted Rs. 6,000/- vide R.No. 83/4740 dated 05.07.2018 as NOC regularization fee. The industry has submitted consents fee for 02 years only due to financial constraints.
It is intimated that the site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 22.09.2018 and it was observed that: -
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The industry has installed auto black furnace and furnace oil was being used as fuel, in its furnace and the industry has provided acid pickling near the auto black furnace and installed water meter and reading was 374.52 KL. As per water auditing the industry has consumed about 60.14 KL in the process since 01.06.2018.
3. The industry has installed phosphating process and water meter reading was noted to be 399.22 KL. As per water auditing the industry has consumed about 22.49 KL in the process since 01.06.2018.
4. The industry hs installed one zinc-plating section and water meter reading was noted to be 270.85 KL. As per water auditing the industry has consumed about 16.25 KL in the process since 01.06.2018.
5. The industry has also received 12.21 KL of effluent since 01.06.2018 from M/s Bhogal Cycle Ltd its sister concern. As such the industry has generation about 111 KL of trade effluent since 01.06.2018 and got lifted 112.5 KL of effluent to the M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana in the same period.
6. The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 10,000 Ltr. for its effluent & about 4000 Ltr. was stored in it.
7. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana @ 50,000 Ltr./Month for its generation of trade effluent from process.
8. The industry has maintained the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana.
9. The industry has installed 02 electrically operated shot blasting machine attached with individual inbuilt bag house as APCD.
10. The industry has installed one F.O. fired auto black furnace and 02 electrically operated powder coating booth attached with inbuilt cyclone as APCD.
11. The industry has installed 03 rotary furnaces, one annealing furnace, 02 tempering furnace, one induction heather furnace these all electrically operated and one LPG fired oven with adequate stack height.
12. The industry has installed 03 DG sets of capacities one of 180 KVA & 02 of 320 KVA which are provided with common acoustic room.
13. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
14. The industry is complying with consent conditions granted to it.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for 30.06.2020 with usual conditions.
