The note page of AEE & Environmental Engineer of Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib may kindly be perused. As the industry has yet to install new Air Pollution Control Device as per the design of PSCST, Chandigarh. Hence, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate of the Board u/s 21 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for a short period of six months i.e. 31.03.2019 with general conditions (auto generated) and following special conditions:
1. The industry will submit adequacy/completion certificate of its containment-cum- air Pollution Control device (APCD) to control particulate emissions from their induction furnace from PSCST, upto 31.10.2018.
2. The industry shall stabilize/Pave/Pucca its vehicular movement area within industry/entry/exit points, to suppress the dust emissions, within one month.
3. The industry shall be liable to obtain environmental clearance as required under the EIA notification dated 14/9/2006, in case of further increase in the production capacity of induction furnace.
4. The industry shall apply for obtaining NOC (for expansion) of the Board, if it changes any of products, process and machinery and shall also obtain varied consent to operate under the water act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 for the revised capacities.
5. The industry shall ensure that the concentration of the suspended particular matter in the flue gas emissions does not exceed 150 mg/Nm3.
6. The industry shall ensure that it will not emit the black smoke under any circumstances.
7. The industry shall interlock its Air Pollution Control Device (APCD) with furnace to ensure its regular operation.
8. The industry shall comply with the standard operating practices (SOPs) for operation and maintenance of Air Pollution Control Device in order to improve / optimize its performance
9. The industry shall get its stack emission sample analysed from the Boards lab within one month of after upgradation of Air Pollution Control Device as per design of Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh.
