It is intimated that earlier the consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted vide online reference no. CTE/FRESH/PKT/2018/6902923 dated 24/01/2018, which is valid upto 23/01/2019.
Now the industry has applied for obtaining of fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the operation of stone crusher through OCMMS in a totally paperless manner by uploading necessary documents as PDF.
The industry has deposited Rs. 23500/- each vide R.No. 27/4647 & 28/4647 dated 25/09/2018 as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 respectively and same are adequate for five years period under both Acts. The industry has also deposited Rs. 500/- vide R.No. 28/4647 dated 25/09/2018 as form downloading fee.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 27/09/2018 and observed as under:-
1. The industry is a stone crusher unit and same has not commissioned yet.
2. The industry has provided three no. dust settling tanks for recirculation of process water.
3. The industry has planted trees along its boundary.
4. The industry has provided shed over jaw crusher.
5. The industry has provided chute at the end of conveyer belts.
The project proponent has submitted Building Plan prepared and signed by Architect approved from Department of Factories, Punjab. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for a period upto 30/09/2023 subject to the suitable conditions.
