It is intimated that the above said industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2018.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal in validity under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS of the Board . The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 27.09.2018 and observed that the industry was in operation and engaged in manufacturing of tyre & tubes. The industry is having integrated process but in two different premises and there is street between both the premises. In this premises i.e M/s Shree Krishna Industries unit-1 manufacturing of tyres and tubes is done and steam for curing of tyres is taken from the common boiler and product of other unit is raw material to this unit. The manufacturing of rubber compound from raw rubber is being done in M/s Shree Krishna Industries, Unit-2.
In this section the industry M/s Shree Krishna Industries, Unit-1, the industry has installed machinery for rubber re-milling, cutting, curing by steam, packing of rubber tyres by using rubber compound. The industry is utilizing steam from the common boiler for curing of rubber tyres in steam presses (installed in unit-2). The industry has installed 1 No. D.G set of capacity 320 KVA with canopy in the premises. There is no generation of trade effluent, the domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has also submitted the certificate from the DTP, Jalandhar vide its letter no. 114 dated 13-01-2010 as per which the site of the industry falls in General Industrial Zone. The industry has already submitted the approved building plans from approved person approved under Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2023 with condition that
1. The industry will submit sample report of boiler installed in unit-2 within one month as the sampling of the same has not been done since 07.11.2015.
2. The industry will submit the detail of increase of machinery as there is increase of 27 lacs as cost of plant and machinery since previous consent.
