The industry has applied for Consent to Establish (NOC)under provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for setting up of hotel. The industry is small scale green category and the competency of case lies with Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
The proposed site was visited by AEE of this office on 17.09.2018 and observed that the project proponent has proposed to establish a hotel. The site of the hotel is located Jalandhar Road near Phulkari Palace, Kapurthala. The construction work of the building was in progress during visit. The industry has submitted CLU granted by STP Jalandhar no 2333 dated 20.09.2017 for an area of 0.27 acres for setting up of hotel. The industry has proposed to install Sewage treatment Plant of capacity 4 KLD consisting of Bar screen, equalization tank, Oil & Grease trap, MBBR unit , secondary settler , Multi grade filter , Sludge Drawing beds for treatment of domestic effluent. The treated effluent will be discharged onto to land for plantation to be developed inside the premises. The industry has proposed to install 2 D.G set of capacity 50 KVA and 60 KVA with canopy.
In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to Establish (NOC)under provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel for setting up of hotel with usual terms and conditions as per policy of the Board.
