It is intimated that the above said industry was applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 25.08.2018 and engaged in the manufacturing of Paints, Primers, Putty, Surfaces. The industry has installed 4 no. ball mixing machines. The industry has installed general machinery in its premises. There is no source of trade effluent generation only domestic effluent is discharge onto land for plantation after septic tank. The industry has submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories.
The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.06.2023. The industry has submitted MTP certificate vide letter no. 4384 dated 2308.2018 mentioning that the industry falls in General industrial zone as per master plan 2009-2031. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
