It is intimated that the above said industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2018.
As per office order issued by the Head Office, Patiala vide letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016 and as per decision of officer meeting held at Head Office Patiala on 08.05.2018 that all the industries under orange and green category shall be processed on the basis of documents submitted by the industry without site verification within 7 days.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. As per application the industry engaged in the manufacturing of pipe fitting and the industry has installed 2 no. electric induction furnaces with bag house filter. The industry has installed 1 no. shot blasting machine with bag house filter as APCD. The industry has installed 2 no. oil fired galvanizing furnace with stack height and 6 no. oil fired annealing furnaces with stack. The industry has installed 1 no DG set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy. The industry has submitted analysis report from Board’s approved lab as per which the particulate matter is 118 mg/nm3 which is within the limits prescribed by the Board. As per application no source of trade effluent generation by the industry and only domestic effluent is discharge into sewer. The industry has submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories.
The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.03.2025. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2024 with usual conditions.
