It is intimated that the industry is orange category small scale unit and the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS.
As per office order issued by the Head Office, Patiala vide letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016 and as per decision of officer meeting held at Head Office Patiala on 08.05.2018 that all the industries under orange and green category shall be processed on the basis of documents submitted by the industry without site verification within 7 days.
As per application the industry engaged in the casting of vices. The industry has installed 1 no. electric induction furnace with bag house filter as APCD. The industry has installed 1 no. shot blasting machine with bag house filter as APCD. As per application no source of trade effluent generation only domestic effluent is discharge into sewer. The industry has submitted Udyog Adhar certificate as per proof of date of commissioning. The industry has submitted MTP certificate vide letter no. 18/618 dated 25.04.2018 mentioning the industry falls in General Industrial zone. The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under factories Act, Punjab. The industry has submitted analysis report from Board’s approved lab as per which the particulate matter is 104 mg/nm3 which is within the limits prescribed by the Board.
The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.06.2023.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2022 with usual conditions.
