The industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 12.09.2018 and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is valid upto 08.09.2018. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry was visited by the AEE on 08.10.2018 and it was observed that the industry was not in operation during visit and operates on and off. The industry has installed 1 no. wood/coke fired lead smelting furnace with bag house filter as APCD. There is no source of trade effluent generation only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under Factory Act, Punjab. The industry has submitted consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 28.01.2023. The industry has obtained actual user certificate dated 16.04.2018 valid upto 15.04.2023. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar. Keeping in view of above, if approved the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2022 with usual conditions and special condition that the industry will submit sample testing report from Board’s lab within one month.(COMP SEE) |
