It is intimated that the above said industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2018.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 15.10.2018 and engaged in the Casting of auto parts . The industry has installed 2 no. electric induction furnaces with bag house filter. The industry has installed 1 no. shot blasting machine with bag house filter as APCD. The industry has installed 1 no. oil fired galvanizing furnace with stack height. The industry has submitted analysis report from Board’s approved lab as per which the particulate matter is 105 mg/nm3 which is within the limits prescribed by the Board. There is no source of trade effluent generation by the industry and only domestic effluent is discharge into sewer. The industry has submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories.
The industry has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.06.2023. The industry is small scale red category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
