Earlier, the industry was granted 'consent to establish' (NOC) vide no.
CTE/Fresh/SAS/2018/6952169 dated 08.02.2018, valid upto 07.02.2019 for
manufacturing of Industrial Screw & Galvanized Screw @225 MT/Year.
Now the industry has applied for obtaining 'consent to operate' under the
Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of
Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents.
The industry has deposited Rs. 45,500/- vide UTR No. P18092654958390
dated 26.09.2018 (Rs 22,500/- each under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 and
Rs. 500/- as application from fee), which is adequate upto 30.06.2023, against the fixed
assets of Rs. 67.7 lacs as on 30.06.2018.
The industry has submitted building plan approved from the approved
architect by the Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry has applied for obtaining
permission for abstraction of groundwater from CGWA.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 15.10.2018
and it was observed as under:
1. The industry is a electroplating unit and is engaged in the manufacturing of
Industrial Screw & Galvanized Screw @225 MT/Year.
2. The manufacturing process of industry is as under;

3. The industry is generating trade effluent @ 0.3 KLD from the process. For
disposal of said quantity of trade effluent the industry has executed an
agreement with the operator of CETP M/s JBR Technologies, Ludhiana for
lifting and disposal of same.
4. The industry has installed flow meter to measure the quantity of trade
effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and is maintaining the record
of the same.
5. The industry is also generating domestic effluent @ 0.25 KLD, which is
discharged on to land for plantation after treatment in septic tank.
6. The industry has developed plantation along the boundary wall of the
industry.
7. The industry has submitted the approved building plan from the approved
architect by the Director of Factories, Punjab.
8. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 25 KVA, which is equipped
with canopy and stack of adequate height. There is no source of air pollution
in the industry.
In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2023 subject
to suitable conditions. |
