It is intimated that the above said marriage palace is small scale orange category unit.
The marriage palace has earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2018.
Now, the marriage palace has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
As per office order issued by the Head Office, Patiala vide letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016 and as per decision of officer meeting held at Head Office Patiala on 08.05.2018 that all the industries under orange and green category shall be processed on the basis of documents submitted by the industry without site verification.
As per application the marriage palace has installed 1 no. hall of capacity 65 person approx and 1 no kitchen in its premises. Palace has also installed 1 No. D.G set of capacity 20 KVA with canopy in the premises. The marriage palace is not generating any trade effluent and only Domestic effluent is discharged into M.C sewer after oil and grease trap. The marriage palace has submitted building plan approved by M.C Phagwara.
The marriage palace has deposited consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which are adequate upto 30.09.2023. The industry is small scale orange category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may granted upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions and special condition that the palace shall comply with provisions of the master plan prepared by the Country & Town Planning Department.
