It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit.
Earlier, the industry was operating in the name & style of M/s Shiv Kirpa Enterprises, Jaspal Bangar Road, Near Satyam Kanda, Ludhiana and was given hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer of the Board on 29.08.2018 and it was decided that:-
1. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office will verify contention of the industry as above.
2. The industry will apply for consents at new site within 03 days.
3. A new notice u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be issued in new name with an opportunity of personal hearing.
Now in compliance of the above orders the industry has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS in its new name & style i.e. M/s Gurpreet Industries, B/s Dalip Dharam Kanda, Jaspal Bangar Road, Dhandari Kalan, Ludhiana and the site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 18.10.2018 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the process of electroplating cycle parts.
2. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana @ 3000 Ltr/Month for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from electroplating process.
3. The industry has installed new water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process area.
4. The industry is maintaining the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana.
5. The industry has submitted approved building plan prepared by Sh. Nitin Kumar Tayal, competent person Director of Factories, Punjab.
6. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
7. The khasra no. mentioning in the registry are covered in the gazette notification dated 17.12.1994. As such the industry falls in Industrial Area-C, Ludhiana.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for 30.06.2023 with usual conditions.
