EE, Regional Office, Bathinda has clarified the observation of this office. The marriage palace is having 5 kanal plantation area to utilize treated domestic effluent of quantity 20 KLD generated from the palace. The marriage palace has got approved the building plan from STP, Patiala and a copy of the same is attached online which may kindly be perused. Also, the Regional Office has reported that the site is suitable. In view of report / recommendation given by the Regional Office, if approved, consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2020 with suitable conditions and specific condition that –
1. The marriage palace shall operate the treatment facility regularly & efficiently so as to achieve the prescribed effluent standards at all the times.
2. The marriage palace shall get its effluent samples analysed from Board / Board's approved lab within three month.
3. The marriage palace will install treatment facility as per treatment methodology to be finalized for marriage palaces in the State of Punjab within a period of six months thereafter.
4. The marriage palace will make an agreement for lifting of solid waste with Municipal Council / Authorized agency for disposal of solid waste in scientific manner as per provisions of SWM Rules, 2016.
5. The marriage palace will dispose of its solid waste in scientific manner as per provisions of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
6. The marriage palace shall comply with the guidelines of Central Ground Water Authority for the abstraction of ground water.
7. The marriage palace shall obtain necessary statutory permissions / clearances from all other concerned departments, if need be.
