EE, Regional Office, Bathinda has clarified the observation of this office. The marriage palace is having 5 kanal plantation area to utilize treated domestic effluent of quantity 20 KLD generated from the palace. The marriage palace has got approved the building plan from STP, Patiala and a copy of the same is attached online which may kindly be perused. Also, the Regional Office has reported that the site is suitable. The marriage palace is not having any DG set.
In view of report / recommendation given by the Regional Office, if approved, consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2020 with suitable conditions and specific condition that –
1. The marriage palace will comply with the Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, 2000 in regard to operation of sound amplifier / D.J. system.
2. The management of the marriage palace shall display the permissible timing and noise limits as provided in the guidelines, at a prominent place in the marriage palace.
3. The management of marriage palace will allow the DJ parties/owners of privately owned sound system or sound producing instruments etc. only if the customer has obtained written permission from the concerned authority as mentioned in the guidelines.
4. The marriage palace owners will inform the Board about any violation of the guidelines by any DJ party/owner of the private sound system etc. to the Board on the very next day of the function. The Board will, thereafter, take action as per the Act/rules.
5. The marriage palace will make an agreement for lifting of solid waste with Municipal Council / Authorized agency for disposal of solid waste in scientific manner as per provisions of SWM Rules, 2016.
6. The marriage palace will dispose of its solid waste in scientific manner as per provisions of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
7. The marriage palace shall only use the moveable DG set; equipped with canopy and adequate stack height during function.
8. The marriage palace shall obtain necessary statutory permissions / clearances from all other concerned departments, if need be.
9. This consent has been granted from pollution angle and the marriage palace / resort shall obtain approvals of site from other concerned departments, if need be.
