Sir, the industry was earlier granted authorization dated 10.12.2018 expired on 31/03/2023 for Category 35.3 @ 45 MT/Year, Category 33.1 @ 2500 No/Year, Category 5.1 @ 0.5 KL/Year.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh authorization under Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2008 for Category 35.3 @ 45 Ton/Annum, Category 33.1 @ 2500 number/Annum, Category 5.1 @ 0.5 T/Annum.
Sir, the application of the industry has been perused and following observations has been made:-
1. The industry has applied for fresh authorization, whereas it has already been granted authorization dated 10.12.2018 expired on 31/03/2023. It required to apply for renewal of authorization.
2. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation of hazardous waste from 2018 to 2023 and from 2023 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 35.3.
3. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation of hazardous waste from 2018 to 2023 and from 2023 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 33.1.
4. The industry has not intimated the status of total generation of hazardous waste from 2018 to 2023 and from 2023 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 5.1.
5. The industry has not intimated the status of total lifting of hazardous waste from 2018 to 2023 and from 2023 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 35.1.
6. The industry has not intimated the status of total lifting of hazardous waste from 2018 to 2023 and from 2023 to 2024 of hazardous waste category 5.1.
7. The industry has not intimated the quantity of hazardous waste of category 35.1 lying stored in the premises.
8. The industry has failed to made fresh agreement for lifting of hazardous waste category 35.1.
9. The industry has not submitted compliance report of conditions of previous authorization granted under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 in annotated form.
If approved, show cause notice for refusal of authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be issued to industry with hearing at ZO level, please.
