It is submitted that the HCF has applied for fresh authorization under the provisions of Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 for generation, collection, storage and disposal of Bio-Medical Waste generated. The HCF has submitted various documents attached with the application in PDF format, which may kindly be pursued. As per the undertaking submitted by the HCF, the HCF was established in March-2024.
As per undertaking submitted by the occupier of HCF, the HCF is a 30 Bed Capacity, location plan and copy of the agreement with Common Bio-Medical Waste Carrying facility. The HCF has entered into an agreement with M/s Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Plant Pvt. Ltd. Village- Pangoli, Pathankot for collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of Bio-Medical Waste generated by it, which is valid upto 25/02/2027.
The hospital has deposited Rs. 10,000/- vide UTR No. N144243052420898 dated 23/05/2024 under Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 fee, which is adequate for five year period.
The Hospital was visited on 19/06/2024 and observed as under:-
1. The hospital comprising of 30 beds engaged in the process of providing medical services.
2. The HCF is treating liquid waste with 1% hypochlorite solution.
3. The hospital has installed treatment plant for treatment of its effluent generated from hospital premises.
4. The HCF has provided color coded bins for collection/segregation of Bio Medical Waste, segregation of BMW found proper as per color codes.
5. The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles.
6. The HCF is maintaining the record of Bio Medical Waste lifted to CBWTF.
7. The HCF has installed one no. D.G. set of capacity 125 KVA, which is provided with canopy.
In view of the above, authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 may be granted to the HCF for a period upto 30/09/2029 subject to suitable conditions.
