Sir, in reply of the observation, it is submitted that no no hazardous waste is dumped/ stored at both sites mentioned under complaint.
Further the the industry has removed all violations observed earlier during the complaint and on the basis of the same electric connection of the unit has been restored twice in the past. Now industry is soting its hazardous waste in a dedicaled separate room and is maintaining the record regarding generation and disposal of hazardous waste of all categories. Industry is now complying with the provisions of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
In view of above it is recommended that:-
1. Renewal authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry for category of 5.1 @ 0.4 KL/Annum, 33.1 @ 2400 Number/Annum, 35.3 @ 180 T/Annum and 37.3 @ 150 T/Annum upto 30.06.2029 with the special condition that the industry shall keep lifting its hazardous waste of all categories regularly and shall maintain the record regarding generation and lifting of sludge.
2. Directions u/s 5 of Environment Protection Act, 1986 may be issued to restore the electric connection of the unit permanently. |
