File Note: It is submitted that the hospital has applied fresh authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 (Hospital @ 30 Beds) along with Request Letter, Bed Capacity Certificate, Agreement made with CBWTF valid up to 26/04/2029. The hospital has deposited Rs. 6,000/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N097242975368660 dtd 06/04/2024 and Rs. 5000/- UTR/Ref. No. N163243089385913 dated 11.06.2024 under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, which is adequate up to 31/12/2029. 1. The hospital has submitted completion certificate regarding installation of STP of capacity @ 30 KLD consisting of Tube Settler – Filtration Tank – Filtration Pump – Aeration Tank – Pressure Sand Filter - Activated Carbon Filter and Sludge Drying Beds – Outlet. 2. The hospital has submitted CBWTF agreement with M/s Amritsar Envirocare regarding lifting of bio medical waste of 30 no. beds valid upto 26.04.2029. The Hospital was visited by undersigned on 22/06/2024 and observed as under: - 1. The Hospital comprising of 30 beds, OT and Lab and is engaged in providing medical health services. 2. The HCF has provided color coded bins for segregation, collection of Bio-Medical Waste and segregation of Bio-Medical Waste was according to color codes. 3. The HCF has provided needle destroyer for shredding of needles. 4. The HCF is lifting its Bio-Medical Waste to CBMWTF and maintaining the record of the same. 5. The HCF has provided final collection room for storage of bio medical waste generated from its premises. 6. No Bio-Medical Waste found mixed with general waste. It is further intimated that the hospital is complying with the provisions of Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016. The hospital is having bed capacity of 30 beds and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 may be granted to the hospital upto 31/03/2029. with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions that :- 1. The hospital will get effluent sample (combined liquid and domestic effluent) analyzed from an approved lab of the Board within 01month. 2. The hospital will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office. 3. The HCF shall comply vide Head Office, no. 468 dated 31/08/2021 issued by Punjab Pollution Control Board.
