The industry was earlier granted authorization of hazardous waste category 35.3 @ 03 Ton/annum, 33.1 @ 24 Number/annum and 5.1 @ 0.01 KL/Year, which was expired on 31.03.2022. Now, the industry has applied for fresh of Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for category of 33.1 @ 24 nos/ year and 5.1 @ 0.020 KL/year...................................
The industry was visited by the AEE of RO on 12.06.2024 & it was observed as under: 1. The industry is engaged in the process of dyeing of pc/cotton fabrics and dyeing of polyester fabrics at site. 2. The industry has provided a common storage room for the storage of all hazardous waste generated from its premises. 3. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 82.5 KVA, which is the source of generation of Hazardous waste of category 5.1. Presently hazardous waste of Cat. 5.1 @ 101 Liter was stored at site. The industry informed that it used their spent oil for the lubrication of machines and it has not yet made agreement with authorized recycler for the lifting of spent oil. 4.The industry has made agreement with M/s J.S Plastic for the lifting of hazardous waste of cat. 33.1 i.e. empty barrels, recently the unit had lifted barrels @ 40 pcs to the recycler on 25.05.2024 and presently plastic canes @ 4 Nos. were stored at site. 5. Now the industry is member unit of CETP-15 MLD, hence it is not generating ETP sludge. Last time the industry had got lifted its ETP sludge @ 7180 Kg to M/s Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd. in Jan, 2021, presently ETP sludge @ nil was stored at site. 6. The industry has provided environmental data board at the main entrance of the industry. 7. The industry is complying with the conditions of authorization granted under Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 to it...........................................
As proposed by RO, may if approved, authorization for generation, collection, storage and disposal of hazardous waste of 33.1 @ 24 nos/ year and 5.1 @ 0.020 KL/year may be granted to the industry for five years with suitable terms and conditions, please. |
