The industry has applied for obtaining authorization under category 5.1. Details of collection, storage and disposal of HW under cat 5.1 has been incorporated in above note.
Further, the industry has submitted report from Thapar Institute, Patiala regarding non hazardous nature of sludge generated from ETP. The said report has been enclosed with the application form.
The matter may please be considered at Head Office level regarding exemption of ETP sludge from ambit of HWM Rules, 2016 basis report submitted by the institute. Accordingly the application may be decided, pl.
