Garg Traders, Village Badrukhan, Ubhawal Road, Sangrur
It is submitted that the trader has applied for obtaining one time authorization for import of actual user under Rules 13 of Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for import of B1-Metal and metal-bearing wastes sub basel no. B1010 i.e, , Aluminium scrap @ 500 MT and Copper scrap @ 250 MT and the detail of the same is as under:-
1. The trader has deposited fee of Rs. 5000/- vide No. 161825181 dated 09.05.2024 through on-line mode under one time authorization for import of actual user under Rules 13 of Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
2. Along with the application, the trader has submitted:
i. PAN card of applicant
ii. Importer-Exporter Code obtained from Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
iii. Lease deed w.r.t. godown, which is valid upto 30.04.2029
iv. Site suitability certificate for doing scrap business obtained from EO, MC Sangrur vide his office letter no. 14/AME dated 20.05.2024
v. Consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 and Authorization under HOWM Rules, 2016 of actual user
i.e. M/s Onkar Multimetals & Alloys, Main Sua Road, Village Nandpur, Ludhiana is upto 30.09.2026.
The site of the godown was visited by this office on 27.06.2024 and observed that:
1. The site of the godown is located in Village Badrukhan, Ubhawal Road, Sangrur.
2. As above documents submitted by applicant, the site is suitable for grant of category import of B1-Metal and metal-bearing wastes sub basel no. B1010 i.e. Aluminium scrap @ 550 MT and Copper scrap @ 250 MT as per policy of the Board.
3. The site of the godown is complying with the conditions one time authorization for import of actual user under Rules 13 of Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
In view of above, it is recommended that one time authorization to the trader for import of B1-Metal and metal-bearing wastes sub basel no. B1010 i.e. Aluminium scrap @ 550 MT and Copper scrap @ 250 MT may be granted for 18 months from the date of issuance of authorization or till specified quantity of waste for which authorization is being issued is imported, whichever is earlier
(Competency EE).
