It is intimated that the industry is a large scale (Orange Category) Cattle feed manufacturing unit and was granted authorization, for generation of hazardous waste vide no. HWM/Fresh/LDHKH/2019/11614158 dated 17/12/2019 valid upto 30/06/2024 for category 5.1 @ 0.250 KL/Annum as per Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for generation, collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste of category 5.1 @ 0.250 KL/Annum. Further, the industry has already entered into an agreement with M/s Mahadev Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd. for shifting of its hazardous waste on 01/05/2024.
The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 02/07/2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry is only generating hazardous waste of category 5.1 from the servicing of its D.G. set of capacity 500 KVA, which is provided with canopy and stack of adequate height.
3. Presently, the industry has stored nil hazardous waste of category 5.1 in the storage facility provided within the premises.
4. The industry has submitted annual return in Form-IV.
5. The industry has installed an Environmental Data Board at the main entrance of the industry.
6. The industry has stored its hazardous waste in the hazardous waste room with lock & key facility.
7. The industry has installed a danger sign Board at the wall of Hazardous waste room.
In view the above, it is recommended that authorization for generation, collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste category 5.1 @ 0.250 KL/Annum as required under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2024 (upto the validity of Air Consent) subject to the suitable conditions and additional condition that the industry shall be liable to comply with the provisions of Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Trans-boundary) Rules, 2016
