Respected Sir, an amended agenda note placed below.
It is submitted that the industry is a medium scale induction furnace mill was granted authorization under Hazardous and other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 vide no. HWM/Fresh/PBIP/FGS/2023/210234796 dated 01/06/2023 valid upto 31/03/2024 for category Cat. 5.1 @ 0.5 KL/Year & 35.1 @ 130 TPA subject to the suitable terms & conditions mentioned therein.
As per the record file, the industry has obtained consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/FGS/2024/25170765 dated 05/06/2024, and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/FGS/2024/25170750 dated 05/06/2024, both are valid upto 31/10/2027 subject to the suitable terms & conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of authorization under Hazardous and other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for generation, collection, storage of hazardous waste of category Cat. 5.1 @ 0.5 KL/Year & 35.1 @ 130 TPA along with requisite documents.
The industry has executed an agreement with M/s BRs Lubricants, Plot No. D-57, Focal Point Mandi Gobindgarh C, for lifting of its hazardous waste of category 5.1.
The industry has executed an agreement with M/s Madhav KRG Environmental Solutions Private Limited, Village Bhadalthuha, Tehsil Amloh, District Fatehgarh Sahib, & M/s Jogindra Casting (P) Ltd., G.T. Road, Sirhind Side, Mandi Gobindgarh for lifting of its hazardous waste of category 35.1.
The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 02/07/2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry has got lifted 7.930 MT of its hazardous waste of category 35.1 to M/s Madhav KRG Environmental Solutions Private Limited., on 12/06/2024 as per the latest manifest submitted by the industry, which is attached alongwith.

3. The industry is only generating hazardous waste of category @ 5.1 from the servicing of its D.G. sets of capacities 500 KVA and 300 KVA which is provided with canopies and stack of adequate heights.
4. Presently, the industry has stored around 50 ltrs of hazardous waste of category 5.1 in the storage facility provided wppithin the premises.
5. The industry has submitted annual return in Form-IV, which is attached alongwith.
6. The industry has installed an Environmental Data Board at the main entrance of the industry.
7. The industry has stored its hazardous waste in the hazardous waste room with lock & key facility.
8. The industry has installed a danger sign Board at the wall of Hazardous waste room.
From above, it is clear that the industry is complying with the provisions of Hazardous and other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that authorization for generation, collection & storage of hazardous waste of Cat. 5.1 @ 0.5 KL/Year & 35.1 @ 130 TPA as required under Hazardous and other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry upto 31/10/2027 (upto the validity of Air Consent) subject to the suitable conditions and additional condition that the industry shall be liable to comply with the provisions of Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Trans-boundary) Rules, 2016.
