It is submitted that authorization under the Bio Medical Waste Rules, 2016 was granted to the HCF vide no. BMW/Renewal/BTI/2023/23672223 dated 9.10.2023 for 30 bed capacity, valid for a period up to 31.3.2024 subject to the conditions that:
1. The HCF shall apply obtain consent under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981.
The HCF has not applied for obtaining consent to operate of the Board under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
Now, the HCF has applied for renewal of authorization under the Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 through OCMMS along with relevant documents.
The HCF has deposited Authorization fees @ Rs, 10,000/- vide no. 76/5506 dated 25.9.2023, the fees is valid upto 31.12.2027
The details of case as under:
1. The HCF has submitted copy of agreement made with M/s Medwaste Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Village Bidowali, Tehsil Gidderbaha, District Shri Muktsar Sahib regarding lifting of bio medication waste generated within the premises of the HCF, which is valid upto 31.3.2025.
2. The HCF has submitted undertaking regarding treatment of its liquid bio waste generated within the premises by using sodium hypochlorite, bed capacity.
The HCF was visited by undersigned on 6.7.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The HCF is a 30 no. bed Hospital. The bio-medical waste generating points of HCE were visited and found that segregation of bio medical waste was proper in all sections.
2. The final BMW collection room was also checked and no mixing was found.
3. The HCF has installed ETP @ 15 KLD which was in operation during visit.
4. The HCE has provided needle destroyers in the emergency wards.
5. The HCE is pre-treating its liquid waste by diluting with Sodium hypochlorite solution.
6. The HCE has provided final waste collection room with bio hazard symbol.
In view of above, may if approved, authorization under BMW rules, 2016 may be issued to the HCF upto 31.3.2025, with condition that the HCF will obtain CTO under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. |
