Earlier, the industry was granted authorization dated 03/08/2016 expired on 30/06/2020 for the category of 5.1 @ 2 Ltr/year & category 34.1 @ 1 KG/day or 0.3 TPA.
Now, the industry has applied for the renewal of authorization under Hazardous Waste Rules, 2008 for category 5.1 (waste oil) @ 0.002 KL/year and category 35.1 (Exhaust Air or Gas cleaning residue) @ 0.9 T/year.
The industry was visited by RO on 29.05.2024 and it was reported that :- 1. The industry was in operation during the visit. 2. Hazardous waste category 5.1 & 35.1 was being generated from the processes. The industry has produce the record during the visit, as per record category 5.1 of quantity 22 Ltr was stored in plastic drum and category 35.1 of quantity 188 Kg was packed in 9 HDPE bags and both were lying in hazardous waste storage room, same were verified during the visit. Previously generated hazardous waste category 35.1 of quantity 526 kg has lifted to TSDF Nimbua vide manifest no.46367 dated 22.11.2023. 3. The industry has obtained the membership of TSDF, Nimbua vide membership no. 731. 4. The industry has provided the danger sign outside the hazardous waste storage room. 5. The industry has provided environmental data board outside main gate of industry.
RO recommended that the authorization under Hazardous Waste Rules, 2008 for Category 5.1 (waste oil) @ 0.002 KL/Year & category 35.1 ((Exhaust Air or Gas cleaning residue)) @ 0.9 MT/year may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with usual conditions and special conditions that the industry will dispose of its hazardous waste of category 5.1 to the authorized Recyclers of the Board.
In view of the above, it is recommended that the authorization under Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 as proposed by RO. (Category -Orange, Small) (Competency -SEE)
