File Note: 1. The subject cited HCF is a Private Laboratory in the name and style of M/s National Clinical Laboratory, Near civil hospital, Bara Pind, Jalandhar. 2. Now, the HCF has applied for fresh authorization under BMW (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 for Lab only. 3. As per the application form, the HCF has Lab only. 4. The HCF has deposited One Time authorization fees of Rs. 1,000/- vide UTR/Reference No. HS92416947327351 dated 17.06.2024. 5. No action is pending against the concerned healthcare facilities for violation of Bio/Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. 6. The HCF has made agreement with M/s Meridian Milieu Care Private Limited, Village Bir Pind, Tehsil Nakodar, District Jalandhar for lifting of its Bio-medical Waste valid upto 30.01.2026. 7. The Bio-Medical Waste is being lifted by CBWTF and the HCF has maintained the record of the same as the HCF has submitted the manifest slips. From the record, it is clear that the HCF is regularly lifting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF. As per Board office order no. 04 dated 10.04.2018, the authorization (fresh/renewal) under Bio/Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 applied by the healthcare facilities upto 20 beds/dental chairs will be granted by the concerned Regional Office within 07 days of receipt of complete application without making inspection of those healthcare facilities. In view of the above, it is recommended that the HCF may be granted the one-time authorization with usual conditions as per the Board policy and with following special condition: - 1. The HCF shall adopt the proper color-coding as per Bio-medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 & segregating its Bio-medical Waste as per Bio-medical Waste Management Rules, 2016. 2. The HCF will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same. 3. The HCF shall apply for the revised authorization as per the Board's policy, if at any later stage, the HCF adds patient beds or dental chairs in its premises. (Competency Environmental Engineer)
