• It is submitted that the HCF has applied for obtaining fresh authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 through OCMMS of the Board for zero beds.
• The HCF has submitted MOU signed with M/s Meridian Milieu, Ltd, Bir Pind, Jalandhar for treatment and disposal of its Bio-Medical Waste valid upto 28.08.2026 for zero beds.
• The HCF has deposited authorization fee Rs. 1000/- dated 23.05.2024 under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016, but the same was not linked with the application.
• As per application the HCF is complying with the conditions under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 may be granted for one time with special condition that:-
1 This authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 is valid for zero bed only.
2 The HCF shall submit authorization fee of Rs. 1000/- under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016.
3 The HCF shall got lifted/handed over its Bio-Medical Waste generated to the Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility on daily basis.
4 The HCF shall obtain other statutory approvals required from other departments, if any.
5 The HCF shall submit annual return every year.
6 The HCF shall get the validity of agreement made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility extended well before its expiry and submit the same to the Board.
