It is intimated that the project proponent was granted authorization under the Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016 for Generation, Collection, Storage, Disposal of categories categories 5.1 @ 15 KL/Annum, 5.2 @ 1.475 T/Annum, 21.1@ 0.030 T/Annum and 35.3 @ 0.135 T/Annum vide no. HWM/Fresh/SAS/2023/21675503 dated 07.06.2023, valid till 30.06.2024 with certain conditions.
Now, the project proponent has applied fresh authorization under Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management & Trans boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for Generation, Collection Storage, Disposal of categories 5.1 @ 20 KL/Annum, 5.2 @ 1.475 T/Annum, 21.1@ 0.030 T/Annum and 35.3 @ 0.135 T/Annum along with requisite documents.
The project proponent has submitted agreement for lifting of category 5.2 @ 0.050 TPA, category 5.2 @ 1.425 TPA, Category 21.1 @ 0.030 TPA & Category 35.3 @ 0.135 TPA with Nimuba Green Filed Association. The project proponent has submitted agreement for lifting of category 5.1 @ 15 KL/Annum with M/s Golden Petro.
The industry was visited by under-signed on 11.07.2024 and during visit, it was observed as under:
1. The service station was in operation for sales and services of four wheeler vehicles.
2. The service station has provided environmental data board outside the premises.
3. The service station has installed DG set of 140 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
4. The service station has provided dedicated room for the storage of hazardous waste of category 5.1, 5.2, 21.1 and 35.3. The room is provided with proper marking. The service station was stored hazardous waste of quantity 2000 ltr @ category 5.1, 5 kg @ category 35.3, 2 kg @ category 21.1 and 20 kg @ category 5.1.
5. The service station has lastly lifted category 5.1 @ 1980 ltr vide manifest no. 16731 dated 07.06.2024 to M/s Golden Petro, Plot no. C45, Industrial Focal Point, Channalon, SAS Nagar.
6. The service station has lastly lifted category 35.3 @ 5 kg vide manifest no. 46589 dated 08.12.2023 to TSDF Nimbua.
7. The service station has lastly lifted category 5.2 @ 60 kg vide manifest no. 46592 dated 08.12.2023 to TSDF Nimbua.
8. The service station has lastly lifted category 21.1 @ 5 kg vide manifest no. 46591 dated 08.12.2023 to TSDF Nimbua.
In view of above, it is recommended that the service station may be granted authorization under the Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016 for Five year with suitable conditions.
