Earlier, the industry was given personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board om 15.05.2024 and it was decided as under: -
1) The industry shall define different type of sludge(s), which are to be lifted and to be processed within its premises and submit the information within 3-days to the Board. The said information will be examined by the Waste Management Cell of the Board and thereafter, on recommendations of Waste Management Cell, application for obtaining authorization as well as passbook will be decided.
2) The industry shall also submit list of types of sludges proposed for which SoP has already been laid by CPCB so as to consider its case accordingly.
3) The industry shall also provide the list of other such type of industries being operated in the other parts of Country within 3-days.
4) Further action in the matter will be taken in light of the information supplied by the industry as mentioned Sr. no. 1 and 2.
5) The industry shall not procure the hazardous waste from the industrial units and also not to operate under any circumstances without obtaining the permission of the Board.
Sir, the industry has submitted the reply that the CPCB has prescribed SOP for the following;
a) Utilisation of metal and metal bearing wastes (Tin/Tungsten/Vanadium/Tanalum/Niobium scrap) for recovery of metal salts and alloys
b) Utilisation of ETP sludges for recovery of Ni, Cr, etc.
c) Utilisation of Vanadium sludge
The copies of the said SOPs has also been attached.
In view of the decisions of the personal hearing the application may be forwarded to the Waste Management Cell of the Board for further necessary action please. |
