• It is intimated that the company has apply for fresh authorization under Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for cat 5.1 @ 0.100 KL/annum.
• The company has been granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTO/Renewal/JAL2/2024/2502 dated 27.02.2024 valid upto 27.02.2027 through auto renewal mode.
• The site was visited by AEE of this office on 16.07.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The company was in operation during the visit.
2. The company has installed D.G set, which are source of generation of cat. 5.1 at site.
3. The company has made agreement for disposal of category 5.1 with M/s New Lubrisales India Private Limited, F-192, RILCO Industrial Area, Kurukshetra, Bhiwadi, Alwar, Rajasthan for two years, which is authorized under Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 by RSPCB upto 30.06.2028.
4. The company has stored hazardous waste of cat 5.1 in the plastic drums generated from service of DG sets. As per return submitted by the company, the total stored capacity at site @ 25 ltr.
5. It is pertinent to mention here that as per Board office order no. 4993 dated 13.10.2011 that authorization pertaining to small scale industries of Green, Orange & Red categories generating hazardous waste of category 5.1 shall be decided by the Environmental Engineer of the Regional Office.
• In view of above, it is recommended that authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for collection, storage & disposal of hazardous waste for category of 5.1 @ 0.100 KL/Annum may be granted to the industry upto 31.05.2026 with special condition that the industry shall submit renewed agreement with authorized handler.
