• It is intimated that the service station was granted the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/20045279 dated 10.10.2022 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2022/20419899 dated 22.11.2022, both having validity upto 30.09.2026 with subject to suitable conditions and special conditions that: -
1. The main developer (i.e. M/s TRICITY TRADE TOWER DEVELOPED BY GS PROMOTERS & DEVELOPERS) shall get its Environment Clearance revised / amended from the competent authority regarding the service station.
• The service station has now applied for obtaining authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for Cat. 5.1 @ 5 KL/Annum, Cat. 5.2 @ 0.10 T/Annum, Cat. 21.1 @ 0.1 T/Annum, Cat. 33.1 @ 0.275 T/Annum, Cat. 35.3 @ 0.096 T/Annum alongwith requisite documents.
• The service station was visited by the AEE of this office on 15.07.2024 & it was observed as under: -
1. The service station was in operation during the visit.
2. The service station has made agreement with M/s Mahadev Petro Chemicals for lifting of hazardous of Cat. 5.1 and last got lifted 5 drums vide manifest no. 14387 dated 12.06.2024.
3. The service station has made agreement with TSDF Nimbua for the disposal of Hazardous Waste of Cat. 35.3 i.e. ETP Sludge. The industry has last lifted ETP sludge @ 38 kgs to TSDF Nimbua vide manifest no. 48348 dated 09.03.2024.
4. The service station has provided impervious hazardous waste room for the storage of hazardous waste generated from the industry.
5. The service station has not submitted record regarding Cat. 5.2 i.e. Waste Filters, Cat. 21.1 i.e. Paint Sludge/Filters and Cat. 33.1. i.e. Empty Containers. Further no storage of the above category was found at the time of visit.
6. The service station has also not submitted any agreement regarding disposal of waste of Cat. 5.2 i.e. Waste Filters, Cat. 21.1 i.e. Paint Sludge/Filters and Cat. 33.1. i.e. Empty Containers.
7. The service station has not submitted revised Environment Clearance for the project i.e. M/s TRICITY TRADE TOWER DEVELOPED BY GS PROMOTERS & DEVELOPERS from the competent authority in compliance of the consent conditions.
In view of above, it is recommended that authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for Cat. 5.1 @ 5 KL/Annum, Cat. 5.2 @ 0.10 T/Annum, Cat. 21.1 @ 0.1 T/Annum, Cat. 33.1 @ 0.275 T/Annum, Cat. 35.3 @ 0.096 T/Annum may be refused for above said violations please.
